Hey guys! I thought it would be fun to learn a little about each element on the periodic table! It will take a while of course! But I'm hoping to help others learn a little more about the world around us!
Guess what's first!!! ......
H!
Hydrogen has an atomic number of 1, and the symbol for it is H.
It has a melting point of around -259.2 degrees Celsius and a boiling point of -252.8 degrees Celsius. It was discovered back in 1766 by Henry Cavendish.
This specific atom is formed by a nucleus with one unit of positive charge and one electron.
It's also a main component in water and all organic matter!
The ammonia synthesis is the most important use of hydrogen.
Finally, it is extremely flammable.
I hope this helped you learn more about hydrogen! I'm currently taking chemistry and I have to admit while I think I know it well, it's always nice to be reminded of these facts. See you for the next one!
